The Teaching Credential program at Vanguard University is designed for aspiring educators who hold bachelor’s degrees and want to pursue a teaching career in California. Our credential program is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and offers two pathways: Single Subject Credential or Multiple Subject Credential. Both programs include supervised clinical practice fieldwork designed to give you hands-on training in a classroom setting.
At Vanguard University, our education programs are taught by professor-mentors in a caring learning community. Through our philosophy of Education for Love and Wisdom, we prepare you to be a Spirit-led educator who makes a lasting difference in your classroom and school.

Career Outcomes
The Single Subject Teaching Credential will equip you to teach a specific subject in departmentalized classes at middle schools and high schools, as well as PreK-12 or adult-serving institutions. The Multiple Subject Teaching Credential prepares you to teach all subjects in self-contained classrooms, such as preschool, kindergarten and elementary school classrooms and classes serving adult learners. Multiple Subject Teaching Credential holders can also serve in a core or team teaching setting.
The professors are there for you. They are filled with wisdom and knowledge, and they are willing to help you out…you will be able to tell that right away.
